Meet DaNiyah Moore
Orange High School Class of 2026, Efland-Cheeks Global Elementary School Class of 2019
DaNiyah Moore is a senior at Orange High School in the class of 2026. She is a member of the the honors chorus and works at an after-school care center. On Tuesday February 17, she returned to Efland-Cheeks Global Elementary School where she met with some of her previous teachers and toured our beautifully renovated school. After high school, she plans to attend UNC-Greensboro with the goal of becoming a nurse.
We asked DaNiyah some questions about her time at Efland-Cheeks Global and here are her responses:
Was there a teacher or staff member who really inspired you or believed in you?
- Yes, Mrs. Hines and Mr. Dieso because they are so nice and helpful. They were the best teachers ever!
Which field trip or special event still sticks in your mind?
- I would say when we went to the Outer Banks or when we went to Betsy and Jeff Penn. Those were my favorite field trips.
Was there a subject you loved back then that shaped what you enjoy now?
- Yes it was social studies or math.
If you could give your younger self one piece of advice for elementary school, what would it be?
- I would say don’t try to fit in with others and just be yourself. I would also say keep being kind to yourself and others. Also time goes by fast so don’t take school for granted.
